I consider myself to be a world citizen. I have taught at UTEP since 2003 and in the El Paso area since 1999. My specific areas of interest and research are sustainability, writing and literature for young readers and China issues, specifically Confucianism, Chinese immigration to the El Paso area and ethnic identity.
